For tasty and simple recipes
Purées, cakes, muffins, soups, stews, pies… squash can be used in a wide variety of dishes, even as noodles. Bake spaghetti squash, separate the flesh into long noodle-like strands with a fork, and top with tomato sauce for a nutritious, delicious, low-calorie dish. Or season spaghetti squash with salt and pepper and a pinch of nutmeg for another tasty delight.
Enjoy Winter Squash
- in soups, stews, couscous, curries, etc. Note that the recipes calling for pumpkin are suitable for squash, and vice-versa.
- in bread, cake or pancake batters (pre-cooked)
- in chunks, oven-roasted or steamed and seasoned with parsley, garlic, ginger, nutmeg, basil or cloves
- as a snack. Squash seeds can be eaten roasted, in the same way as pumpkin seeds, and seasoned however you like.
Include Blueberries
- every day, in cereals and yogurt. To enjoy blueberries year-round, just freeze them!
- in muffins, pancake or waffle batter, etc.
- in a smoothie. Combine frozen blueberries in a blender with milk or yogurt, pineapple juice and a banana. Serve chilled.
- in green or fruit salads.
Try Raspberries
Fresh raspberries can be served alone, with fresh cream, plain yogurt or ice cream.
They can also be turned into jam, mousse, purée or used in dressings and desserts of all kinds, cakes, pies, muffins, puddings and crisps. They also make excellent companions to fish, pork, duck and chicken.
