Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients:

1 unbaked 9-in. (22-cm) pie shell
1/8 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup (170 mL) sugar
1 tsp. (5 mL) pastry spice
1 2/3 cups (420 mL) whole milk
2 eggs
1 3/4  (440 mL) mashed cooked pumpkin

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 450ºF (230ºC).

Blend ingredients for filling together. Line pie tin with pastry and pour in filling. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350ºF (180ºC) and bake 50 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.
